I'm not sure if anyone's made a monochrome ASCII fantasy console before. Probably, it's been done at least twice. I hope this is at least a new take on it.

The Model 25 is meant as a throwback to all the bits I like from a bunch of eras of computing I wasn't around for but that I feel have a certain magic.

It doesn't try to be a tarpit - it runs an RV32I'ish' CPU that hopefully should be compatible with your favorite programming language. The terminal and disk are simple to program - no VirtIO queues in sight. The boot ROM is 256 bytes of handwritten assembly that barely fits, but is a pretty reliable tool for inputting hex-encoded instructions. The UI is dotted with cheatsheets (I might have overdone this, to be honest...)

Really, you're doing it right if your program has a manual that spends two pages on how to simply load and start it.

Good luck.
